I viewed Jennifer Wagner’s “If You Host It, They Will Come” via the K-12 Online Conference site. She started with an overview of what are the two types of projects one can engage in. She referred to them as the “puddle” and the “well.” The “well” as being very deep and involved. Jen gave examples of others projects besides her own. The only time I got lost was when she showed how to create a google document, which I understand was one of the ways to keep track of participants, however, it felt out of place in the middle of the presentation. I did download her supporting documents which is something I can refer to if I decide to review this conference. I also printed the main post page to refer to in the future or juggle my memory.
The main points were focusing on hosting a project, getting started, whom to ask to assist you, etc. I learned a lot but think it would be a lot of work unless I worked through my blog. Now with our PD360, this method of conferencing and professional development is here to stay. It sure is more relaxing attending class “in your pajamas!” ♥
